The facility features four bays for fire department apparatuses such as fire trucks and ladder trucks, a dormitory space, and a four-storey tall training tower for firefighter training in full gear.
Kananaskis Emergency Services Centre was designed by IBI Architects and built by Clarke Builders.
The 32,485 sq.ft. facility is home to 24-hour dispatch operations that will support emergency response in the Kananaskis region. Spring Valley CAAST Panels were selected for the four-storey tall training tower.

The requirement for cladding on the tower was that the panels needed to withstand the impact of the firefighters boots and bodies as they practiced scaling and repelling up and down the wall. CAAST Panels have very high strength and can withstand that beating for many years to come while meeting the architects’ requirements for an attractive façade.
